The guide to finding your perfect size

We understand how important it is to find the right clothing sizes when making a purchase from our website. Solo Mia stocks a wide range of “ONE SIZE” garments.

If in doubt please feel free to email hello@solo-mia.com and we will be happy to send you the exact measurements of the items you like the look of.

Size chart

Italian style tends to be cut a bit smaller than UK style so here is an approximate guide to help:

ONE SIZE – UK 10 to UK 14

XS  - UK 8

S – UK 8/10

M – UK 10/12

L – UK 12/14

XL – UK 14/16

Some of the one size items are suitable up to size 18 so do get in touch hello@solo-mia.com if you would like more information on available stock.

Care Guide

Love Your Clothes and Love the Planet!

The way you care for your clothes makes all the difference, both to their longevity and the planet. So here are some easy ways to show your Solo Mia garments a little love.

1. Less Washing, More Wearing

We know, it sounds rebellious – but over washing isn’t doing your clothes (or the environment) any favours. Many items don’t need to be washed after every wear, especially if you’ve been lounging, lunching, or looking fabulous without breaking into a sweat.

Knitwear has never liked frequent washing. If you wear something underneath (like a vest or T-shirt), you can go even longer between washes.

Air garments on a hanger or give them a day out in the sunshine. UV rays and a light breeze will keep them nice and fresh, plus it saves on water too!

2. Wash Cool – Always Below 30°C

We recommend washing all garments at 30°C or lower. It’s gentler on fabrics and far kinder to the environment.

Especially for jeans: Most pairs contain a touch of elastane which gives your jeans flexibility and helps them spring back into shape after each wear. But it’s also sensitive to heat and washing or tumble drying at high temperatures can cause the fibres to break down over time – keep them cool.

3. Wash Darks with Darks

To avoid unintentional colour mix experiments, always wash dark colours separately.
It’s an old rule, but it’s a good one.

4. Hand Wash with Care

Pay attention to the label. If it says “hand wash only”, we suggest... well, hand washing!
Your washing machine may have a hand-wash setting, but you know your machine best – use your judgement. (And maybe don’t risk your favourite knitwear unless you trust it completely.)

Here’s a quick recap:

★ always check the care label

★ don’t over wash

★ fresh air is your friend

★ 30°C or less – always

★ wash darks separately

★ hand wash when told

★ hot washing denim = baggy bums and saggy knees!
